School Girl Style

I didn't intend on this outfit post being predominantly Primark-based, however, I soon realised when putting it together that three out of four of the items that I'm wearing are from there.

Recently, I wore this burgundy dress from Primark, (which you may have seen in a previous post) however, instead of wearing it like I normally do, I decided to switch it up! I added a long sleeved, white shirt underneath. I like this idea as it can instantly change up an outfit and make it look a little more formal, just like when you wear shirts underneath jumpers too! (which I am prone to doing)
Also, the shirt manages to look like it is attached to the dress and you can't tell it was bought separately. I always think a plain white shirt, long or short sleeved, is a good staple to have in your wardrobe as it is so versatile and can help to change up most outfits.
This outfit also screams school uniform to me, for some reason. I think it is because of the frilly socks and school-girl style shoes. I think wearing frilly socks with this outfit adds a touch of cuteness, yet it still looks smart because of the formal shoes and shirt.
I hope you enjoy the photos and that this has maybe given you some ideas on how to style dresses differently!
