A Long, Red Dress

This outfit post features a dress I bought before Christmas and, as soon as I saw it, I knew I wanted to wear it on Boxing Day, because it screamed CHRISTMAS to me, and so I did. I have received a number of compliments on it, from both family members and lovely people online and so figured it was only right to blog about it!
This is definitely the perfect dress to blog about, don't you think? Its one you don't need to accessorise as the dress itself does all the talking. It comes in two parts, an underpiece and a lace dress for on top. It is flowy, meaning its comfortable and is made of good quality material.

The dress is from Forever21 (and was also available in black) and instantly reminded me of one I saw Eleanor Calder wearing. which was a lot more pricey and from Self Portrait. It now also reminds me of a short version of a dress that I saw Lucy Hale wearing a couple of weeks ago! Finding high street dupes for designer pieces is always a satisfying feeling and, although this dress didn't cost an arm and a leg, it is still extermely well made and makes me feel nice when I wear it.

I teamed the dress with a pair of burgundy shoes from New Look, who are one of my favourite stores to buy shoes from, my rose gold watch from Fossil, which I am never seen without anymore, and a bold red lip, as I felt it was needed.

This, of course, isn't a dress that I shall be strolling into College wearing, but is now certainly my favourite special occasion dress and I can't wait to wear it again.
I hope you enjoy the photos that follow!
