Friday Thoughts

Oh hey you! HAPPY FRIDAY! I just wanted to write something that you can come back to read every Friday to put a smile on your precious little face after getting to the end of the week!
Can you believe it is already Friday? Hasn't the week just flown by? Okay, it may not have felt like that on Wednesday but, looking back, I reckon the past four days barely even happened!
I think you ought to be extremely proud of yourself for making it to the weekend, I bet you didn't think the day would ever come on Monday, did you? Well, it has. You have survived a whole week of work, school or whatever else and you got through it. You probably woke up feeling miserable on Monday because you didn't want to face the next few days, however, you did face them and you absolutely smashed them.
Whatever you have had to deal with this week, whether that be arguments in friendship groups, family conflict, exam stress, worries in the workplace, you have conquered them and you can now forget about them and enjoy your weekend.
We don't tell each other often enough how well we are doing or how proud we are of each other and, personally, I am so proud of you for what you have achieved this week! You're probably sat there thinking "Eh? I haven't done anything this week? Nothing special." well, that's where you are so very wrong. I am proud of you for getting out of bed every day this week and facing the world. I am proud of you for getting through each day when you thought it was not possible. I am proud of you for working your butt off these past few days. I am proud of you if you tried something new. I am proud of you if you overcame a mental obstacle. Whatever you did this week, even if you think it was nothing, it was something. Simply by living through this week, you have accomplished something, and that deserves a 'well done.'
So, congratulations on being my inspiration this week and let us hope that we can do this every week, together. Every Friday we're going to just take a moment out of our day and think "Yeah, we did it. We got through the week and made it to Saturday." It is so important to tell yourself that you're doing okay and, this week, you did a really great job.
Now, let's think about the weekend. It's Saturday tomorrow and you're free from all responsibilities, even if it is just for a little while. You can take some time out for yourself to de-stress and unwind. You have worked incredibly hard this week, whether you worked hard at a job or simply just worked hard to try and be the best person you can be, and you deserve to enjoy the weekend.
I hope you realise how amazing you have been this week! There are so many people in the world who didn't make it through to the weekend, but you did, and that is an achievement. See, you CAN do it! So, next Monday you can wake up with a smile on your face and think about strong you were last week and how you now have the strength to smash whatever the coming week throws your way. Don't ever tell me you can't get through the week, because the weekend will come. Now, you can look back at everything you've accomplished this week. WOW. You did fab!

Congratulations once more on making it to Friday! Come back next week so we can celebrate again together!

Tell me one thing you did this week! <3

Love, Emily :) xx
