Aing Your Qs

I have never done a question and answer style blog post, simply because I wasn't sure if anybody would care enough to either A) ask me questions or B) read my answers, however, when I recently proposed the idea on Twitter, a lot of you were eager to get involved so, welcome to my first Q&A!
Thank you for sending in some genuinely thought-provoking questions and for taking the time to ask them! I asked for random questions, they didn't have to be surrounding a certain topic, so you'll find a whole bunch of answers in this post!
Be sure to let me know if you liked this style of post, perhaps it will tell you even more about me as a person! Also, be sure to follow me on Twitter so you don't miss out if I do any more Q&As, which I would be more than happy to do, maybe I could do question and answer blog post on specific topics?

Without further a do, let me A your Qs....

Which celebrity's life would you like to watch a reality show on?
I definitely thought about this question for far too long and it'll probably be one of those that I answer but, as soon as I upload this post, I will think of at least ten other answers that I could have given. If she counts as a celebrity, then I am totally going to say The Queen because, let's be honest, who wouldn't want to see what she gets up to behind closed doors? I mean, I do often wonder, does she ever just sit in bed and binge watch Netflix? Does she order takeaways? Does she blast Spotify's 90's classics playlist on full volume through Buckingham Palace? Life's deepest questions.
Aside from The Queen, I would probably go with a celebrity who isn't very active on social media, who don't Snapchat every second of every day and whose life we don't actually see much of, apart from what the press write. A few names which come to mind are Sia, Taylor Swift, Victoria Beckham and Emma Watson, as I am genuinely interested in them as human beings and their personalities.
However, those people would have their reasons for being quiet on the Internet, so perhaps it would be better to opt for someone more outgoing and who doesn't mind sharing their personal life? As I would hate to intrude. In which case, I would choose someone like Shay Mitchell or Ariana Grande.
I would also love to watch a reality show on a comedian's life, simply to see how they are at home and I can imagine they would give me a lot of laughs! I would probably go for someone like James Corden or Michael McIntyre as they're ordinary family men but have great sense of humours and endearing personalities.
Although, I am also happy with not being able to watch a reality show on my favourite celebrities lives. I mean, don't get me wrong, I would love to see what Harry Styles gets up to when he's home alone but I also kind of like not knowing and I feel that everyone has their own vision in their minds of what their favourite celebrities are really like, therefore, I reckon we should keep it that way as, personally, I really like the picture I have in my head of my idols and wouldn't want that the be spoiled by a reality show, if you're picking up what I'm putting down?
...You probably literally only wanted a two word answer to that question. Apologies.

What is your favourite song?
My favourite song of all time is 'Drops of Jupiter' by Train. Nothing beats it for me. I love the lyrics and meaning behind it, yet also love to interpret it in my own way too, I think Train have some amazing songs! Another song I hold close to my heart is 'She Used To Be Mine' by Sara Bareilles, which I would encourage everyone to listen to. I have quite a few songs, actually which I would consider my all time favourites mainly because I connect really well with the lyrics. I shall do a blog post on my fave songs, if you like!

How do you always stay so positive?
Firstly, I think it is vital to remember that nobody is positive all of the time, no matter how they seem. We all have those days when we just feel totally rubbish and are convinced nothing is ever going to get better. I have those days too, however, I am a very positive person on the outside and, even when I struggle to be optimistic about my own life, I am always encouraging and look on the bright side for other people. I believe that, if you encourage somebody to see the glass as half full, rather than half empty, they will find it a lot easier to do so. Sometimes, people just need someone else to tell them that everything is going to be okay. Also, I never see the point in worrying or thinking negatively, especially as worrying only makes the situation worse, stops us from enjoying life and most of the things we worry about never happen anyway. I believe that if you start to see everything around you as negative, it will end up becoming that way. Honestly, I don't think you can allow yourself to have a negative mind as, I know its cliché, but life really is too short. One of my biggest fears is getting to a certain age, looking back and thinking "I wish I didn't worry so much about that." Just tell yourself to think positively and consider how much better your life will be if you change your outlook on life. Thinking negatively is honestly so boring and tiring. Don't you think it drains you? Having a smile on your face is so much easier, plus, your positive thinking can really change someone else's life for the better - if you are positive, other people will feel positive too. Believe that life is going to be amazing and that is what it shall become.

What is your favourite album at the moment?
I also wrote a blog post on my favourite albums of all time, which will always be my 'favourite albums of the moment' as I listen to them most days, however, my favourite albums that were recently released would have to be 'I Like It When You Sleep For You Are So Beautiful Yet So Unaware Of It' by The 1975, 'Wildfire' by Rachel Platten and 'This Is Acting' by Sia. However, the albums that I know I am going to be listening to throughout the rest of 2016 when they are released are Fifth Harmony, Cher Lloyd, Meghan Trainor and Ariana Grande's and I cannot wait for them to be released!

Which has been your favourite Little Mix concert that you have been to?
I have seen Little Mix live three times and each show was special for a different reason, however, I would have to say that their 'Get Weird' tour was by far the best night of my life and was my favourite concert I have ever been to, simply because it came at a very unhappy period in my life and I got so emotional during the show as I have never felt so free and happy in all my life. You can read my blog post on the night HERE - things got rather soppy haha!

Who is your favourite band/singer?
Surely this is like asking a parent to choose their favourite child? How could one possibly do that? I have a lot of favourite musicians and bands, like, a lot, however, I love pop music such as One Direction, Little Mix, Fifth Harmony, Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, Demi Lovato, Taylor Swift and Ellie Goulding. I also love The 1975, Rachel Platten, Train, James Blunt, Sia, Ella Henderson, Leona Lewis and so many more! I will definitely have to do a blog post on my favourite musicians!

What is your dream job?
I dream of having a career in writing, preferably journalism. Not so much writing about world news in a newspaper, however, I would love to write for a magazine, perhaps online. I am not too sure what about, as I love writing about a variety of things so it's difficult for me to say at the moment, anything to do with opinions, positivity, beauty, fashion or celebrity would suit me.

Have you ever considered being a writer?
This leads on from the previous question but I considered being a writer so long ago I couldn't tell you when I first started to think about a career in writing. All throughout school, my favourite subjects and the subjects I have been the best at are the ones which involve essays and writing, such as English, History and Religious Education, as oppose to subjects such as Maths and Science, where everything either has a right or a wrong answer. Plus, I now do Sociology and Creative Writing at College. I have always loved writing and I'm not a very confident or outgoing person, therefore, I have always liked to express myself through my writing and believe it is one of the things I'm actually okay at. I enjoy it too and dream of having a job which I love to do so much that it doesn't feel like a job.

What movies could you watch over and over and still love?
I promise the purpose of this blog post isn't just to shamelessly self promote my other blog posts, however, I did write a whole blog post which answers this question perfectly and was titled 'My Favourite Movies Of All Time.'
There are quite a few films which I love and, despite being able to recite them in my sleep, I will still watch them on repeat, these films always happen to be romantic comedies! Although, my two favourite movies of all time would have to be 'Love Actually' and 'Bridget Jones's Diary.'
Oh and have you noticed how I can't just give one straight answer for any question? I think that's the English student in me haha!

What is the funniest thing to happen to you in your life?
Just when I thought that the question about my favourite musicians was the hardest question, this one is even more difficult! This is a really vague question and it is too hard for me to put my finger on one specific moment which I would label as the funniest, simply because there have been many times that I have cried with laughter with my friends and stopped breathing! I truly couldn't tell you what the funniest thing to ever happen to me was, as I laugh a lot and there have been so many funny things to happen in my short life so far! Plus, you would probably think I was weird if I told you the odd things my friends and I cry with laughter over haha!

If you could have any superpower, what would it be and why?
Oh if only superpowers existed! Pardon my answer for not being your conventional superpower and also excuse me for asking to have two powers, as I know that's greedy, however, I would love to have the power of 1) healing other people, whether that be their physical wounds or mentally, and 2) I would love to have the ability to open other people's eyes to the world. I don't want to change anyone's opinions on things, because everyone is entitled to think what they wish, however, I would love to be able to make other people realise that the world is changing and nothing is unacceptable.

What was your favourite look from Coachella this year?
I love Coachella fashion and get really excited each year to see what everybody is going to wear. I always love every outfit so it would be a task and a half for me to single out just one which was my favourite this year, however, here are a few which I really liked:

Kendall Jenner

Suki Waterhouse

Taylor Hill

Troian Bellisario

Shay Mitchel

Eleanor Calder

Vanessa Hudgens

Ally Brooke

Jamie Chung

Ashley Benson

Whose outfits did you like from Coachella this year?

What is your main goal in life?
My only goal in life is to be happy, and I guess that covers a variety of areas. I simply aim to be totally happy with everything that I have and everything that I am. I don't aim for everything in my life to be perfect and I know nothing ever will be, however, the main thing I want to be able to say in the future is that I have found happiness, with my body, my career, my friendships, my lifestyle and inside my own head. I think happiness is the most important thing to aim for. I don't want to aim to be a millionaire, for example, because I could be perfectly happy living off of minimum wage, you just don't know what could happen in a few year's time but what I do know is that, whatever does happen, I want it to make me happy, especially as I could not really pinpoint a time in my life, at the moment, when I have been truly, deeply happy for a long period of time. I believe that, once you find happiness, everything else around you will just fall into place and you will honestly just stop caring about everything else. I would also just like to be able to say I was a good person and, I think if I can say I have managed to make just one person feel a little bit better about themselves, my life was done well.

What is the best part of being a blogger?
My favourite part of being a Blogger is simply having my own creative space. There are no rules, you know? One day you could click on my blog and find a post about my favourite make-up products, the next day you could open it to see a post about my favourite knock knock jokes. I can write about whatever I like and, as somebody who loves writing, that is important to me. There aren't many times in life when you will be able to do things without the guidance of someone else or without somebody watching over you saying 'don't do this' and 'don't do that,' therefore, having my blog allows me to empty my head at the end of the day and, especially as somebody who isn't a good talker, it's good to know I can write about things I may struggle to say. Additionally, it is really nice to know that you have your own little corner on the Internet which would, potentially, do someone some good and help them out, plus, it gives me something to do, rather than just letting either my Fangirl thoughts or darkest thoughts build up in my head, I can let them out.

Which songs are you most looking forward to hearing when you see Selena live? / Which ones do you hope she performs?
If you weren't already aware, I am going to see Selena Gomez live on her 'REVIVAL' Tour in November (*insert screaming here*) and I could not be more excited to see her perform. I am looking forward to every single song, however, if we are talking from her latest album, I can't wait to hear 'Hands To Myself,' purely because that beat drop is going to send me to heaven, and I also really want her to sing 'Sober,' 'Pefect' and 'Kill 'Em With Kindness.' I can't wait for the set list to be revealed, however, I know that 'Who Says' is on there, which makes me very happy, even if I do know that it's going to make me cry when I hear it live! Whatever songs Selena sings, I just know that her show is going to be incredible.

So, that was it for my first Q&A blog post! I thoroughly enjoyed answering your questions and having a good old ramble! Congratulations if you made it this far!

Be sure to let me know if you want me to do more Q&As! <3

Love, Emily :) xx
