My Current Top 10 Beauty Products | NOVEMBER 2016

I'm nosey and so I like seeing what things other people are into at the moment so, if you're nosey like me, then you'll probably really like this blog post.
I'm going to be sharing ten of my favourite beauty bits and bobs for November, just like I did way back in July. I tend to have a handful of products that I reach for on a daily basis because I trust them and I know they work well for me, however, I'm always changing my mind about which my favourite items are, particularly when it comes to things like lipsticks, so, when I do change my mind, it seems only right and just to tell the world, right?
You'll find a little bit of everything in here. There's base products, eye products, something for your lips and things for your cheeks so, you never know, something may take your fancy and you may decide to go and try it for yourself. OR you might just want me to stop rambling so you can scroll down and look at the photos, which is fair enough.

Let me know if you'rel liking any of the same things as me this November and, if not, what are you loving, beauty related or not! I'd love to know!

The Balm Mary Lou Manizer Highlighter

This is a big statement to make, however, I would probably go as far as saying this is my favvourite highlighter - ever. Granted, I'm not mega rich and I'm no Kylie Jenner so I haven't exactly tried hundreds although, I've tried a fair few and this is now the one I always seem to reach for. You know how some highlighters can just be nasty colours? Well, this one isn't. It's a slight champagne tone but doesn't just make you look like you have a massive streak down the top of your cheeks. It's also highly pigmented but can be blended in too for a more subtle glow. If you're after a highlighter that's going to last forever and looks pretty, this is the one for you. It's hardly cheap as chips but it is worth the price.

L'Oreal Million Lashes Fatale Mascara

I just have a really good relationship with L'Oreal products in general, but their mascaras are always ranked particularly high by me and some of my most used mascaras are by them. They never seem to get it wrong which is proven by the fact that, whenever they release a new mascara, everyone and their hamster seems to buy it. This one isn't anything extraordinary in the sense that the wand is a pretty standard shape and it doesn't make you look like you're wearing falsies, however, it does do a great job of separating and volumising your lashes, as well as blackening, all within just one or two coats. It doesn't look clumpy either, which is always something I look for in any mascara! That's the ultimate deal breaker, right?

Too Faced Born This Way Foundation
Too Faced is fast becoming one of my favourite make-up brands. This foundation advertises itself as a high coverage foundation, and I can vouch for that. Don't worry, they aren't ripping you off. The Born This Way Foundation does a brilliant job of covering my acne, blemishes and covers any redness completely, meaning I don't need to use as much concealer either, which is always a bonus because I'm cheap and I don't like it when things get used up quickly and I have to repurchase them. This foundation is more long lasting than any drugstore foundation I've ever tried too, which is a key feature of foundations for me. It feels nice on my skin and blends really well. Plus, even after wearing it to College, it doesn't feel too rank at the end of the day - yay!

Benefit Rockateur Blush
Half of the world's population seem to love this and, after buying it and trying it for the first time, I could see why. It's hardly anything revolutionary in the world of blushes, because I think there's only so much you can do with a blush and there are only so many shades you can create but I love Rockateur none the less. It's a beautiful shimmery pink shade, almost rose gold, and adds a subtle glow to your cheeks that can be built up if you so desire. It lasts for quite a while but still leaves your cheeks with a hint of colour after it begins to fade, which I like because I look like a ghost without blush.

L'Oreal La Nude Palette
I had never tried any eyeshadows from L'Oreal before this palette but it has become one of my go-tos that I use most days. Firstly, even just by looking at it, it looks like the ideal palette, well, to me it does as I LOVE a good neutral eyeshadow palette!! The colours are gorgeous to look at but also apply really nicely to your eyes. They're pigmented but still easy to blend and you really can create a variety of looks with this, thanks to the range of dark to light shades. They don't feel gross on your eyes towards the end of a long day and are easy to remove. Basically, this was a really good purchase.

L'Oreal Infallible 24H Powder

I was always a Rimmel Stay Matte Powder girl - which I know is basic, sorry. I find buying powders so difficult. They aren't like lipsticks where you can swatch them in store and decide there and then if you like them, you kind of just have to buy it an hope for the best, which is why I tend to go off other people's recommendations for powders. This L'Oreal one has become my favourite powder now. I use it every day and it does a fantastic job of keeping my make-up in place and giving me a matte finish. I actually like applying it with the sponge that it comes with, simply because I find a sponge pushes the powder into my skin, whereas a brush can sometimes take some of my foundation off, so try a sponge because you might like it better! The shade matches my skin tone perfectly and, despite there being some colour in this powder, it isn't cakey and doesn't look heavy, so you can get that extra bit of coverage without having to suffer.

Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer
This was the first high end concealer I have tried and it is by far my favourite undereye concealer - ever. There are definitely cheaper concealers out there but I think this one is certainly worth paying that little bit extra for - although I may cry when it runs out because I AM A POOR HUMAN. Anyway, it's great, really great. Some people have criticised the Radiant Creamy Concealer for being too thick and cakey, but I don't find it to be thick and cakey on me at all. I just find it to be really high coverage, which is what I want in an undereye concealer, well, in any concealer really, because the dark circles underneath my eyes ain't pretty! It covers them up PERFECTLY, as well as highlighting and brightening my eye area. It's long lasting and is definitely one of the best purchases I have ever made.

MAC Paint Pot in Bare Study

Paint Pots are great for when you don't have much time or just fancy shoving something all over your eyelids because you can't be bothered to do a full smokey eye. This one from MAC is long lasting and just adds something to my eyes, you know? It helps to make me look like I've tried a bit harder than I actually have. I picked it up in a neutral shade, although they do millions of others, because I just wanted something to whack on in five seconds that would even out my skin and look pretty. It's natural. Although, this also works great as an eyeshadow base because it gives you a blank canvas to put any other eyeshadows on top of and assists them in lasting all day.

L'Oreal Infallible Fixing Mist

Pretty much everyone who wears make-up uses some form of setting spray these days and I wanted one because I was fed up of my make-up sliding off of my face an hour after applying it. I especially wanted one for College days, which can be pretty long and I always went home looking greasy at the end of the day. High end brands like MAC and Urban Decay do famous setting sprays which look amazing, however, I decided to try this one from L'Oreal first and I can honestly say it is one of the best things I have ever bought. I use it every day and cannot imagine doing my make-up without it. It's quite a boring product to talk about as I can't actually show you what it does, however, just know that it keeps my make-up one for waaaay longer than it would last without this - I think it's a miracle worker! Plus, it wasn't too expensive. The only con of this is that it does seem to get used up quite quickly, but I'm okay with that as I use it so often and I know that it works. If you're going to try anything from this blog post, let it be this! Especially if you suffer from an annoying oily face like myself!

MAC Lipsticks - Brave & Faux (YES I KNOW THEY LOOK IDENTICAL BUT THEY'RE DIFFERENT I PROMISE)
I seem to have rediscovered my MAC lipsticks this month. I don't reach for them all that often as I do think there are plenty of better brands out there for lipsticks, however, I love them for everyday wear, especially for College, as they are extremely long lasting. Even after eating and drinking, your lips don't look rank but instead are left with a nice tint. These two shades in particular, Brave and Faux, are the perfect everyday lipsticks as they pretty much go with any eye look and any outfit, plus, they don't feel drying!

So, what are you loving this month? <3

Love, Emily :) xx
