My Favourite Songs Of ALL Time

Music is the best thing ever...alongside pizza, poetry and equality, of course. It's rare that I go a day without listening to it. I love how music makes me feel. I love how one song can make me feel ten different emotions, even if I don't fully understand what it's about. On the other hand, I love how I can resonate so deeply with some songs and feel as though the lyrics were written about my own life.
I love how music transports me to another place. Whether I'm on a train, a bus, in a car, in my bedroom, in my garden, in my kitchen, on the street...no matter where I am or what chaos is occuring around me, I know that I can put in my earphones and be taken to a place completely outside of reality. Music makes me feel things so deeply yet not feel anything at all. It makes me feel like I'm living in one particular moment yet not really living at all. It connects me with other people because, regardless of who we are or where we come from, music will always be the common denominator. We will always be united through our love of good music yet, at the same time, a thousand different people may interpret a song in a thousand different ways. Music is magic and I never want to imagine a world without it.
I have a list longer than my arms of the albums and artists that I love. My music tastes varies. One minute, I'll be listening to the number one pop song in the world, the next, I'll be listening to a power ballad from the 80s. One minute I'll be listening to an R&B track which makes me feel way cooler than I actually am, the next I'll be slow jamming to a country classic. It all depends on my mood. Although, I'm not one to listen to the radio stuff. I get tired of hearing the same things over and over again and a lack of originality in current pop music so, unless it's by an artist whom I'm really invested in, like One Direction, I tend to stay away from the conventional things that everyone else is listening to. Don't get me wrong, I'll bop to a Rihanna tune every now and again but it wouldn't be something I'd listen to on repeat. I tend to stick to what I know and what I like. I have a select few albums and artists who, for me, have created timeless music and which I could listen to for the rest of my life without getting tired. I wanted to share some of my favourite songs of all time with you. You may know some of them, you may not, meaning this is a chance for you to explore and fall in love with some new musicians so don't say I never gave you anything!
