What's better than a good set of make-up brushes? A good set of make-up brushes that are also cruelty-free, of course! However, it can be difficult to find out which brush brands are cruelty-free even though, in today's society, you'd think all brands would see products that didn't result in the harming of animals or humans! Actually, many brands can be good at hiding the fact that they test on animals and bury the details deep down in their websites in the small print.
So, allow me to recommend some amazing cruelty-free make-up brush brands to you. These three favourite brands of mine all sell individual brushes, as well as sets, they come in a variation of colours, styles and, best of all? Their prices aren't ridiculously high.
Nanshy
Nanshy brushes can be used to create a million and one different looks, whatever the occasion. Their brushes are super soft and feel light on the face when blending. They're also so easy to clean, which everyone wants, right? Nanshy are very much aware of the harsh realities of animals testing and their brand fight for the proper treatment of animals. They sell brushes which are both cruelty-free and vegan. Their brushes are approved by PETA and they are known as a trusted cruelty-free cosmetic manufacturing organisation.
Morphe
Morphe specialise in eyeshadow palettes and make-up brushes at great prices. Their brushes are durable and you'll find a brush for everything, whether it's a powder brush bigger than your face you're after or the tiniest liner brush for the inner corners of your eyes, Morphe have different styles of each. They do not test finished products or ingredients on animals or sell their products where it is required by law for them to do so. They also don't allow suppliers to test on animals. So, if you're looking for affordable brushes that'll give your face a designer glow, check out Morphe!
BH Cosmetics
BH Cosmetics is an American brand providing beauty fanatics with affordable products for their eyes, face and lips. Their brushes come in some stunning sets and they have many different colours and styles - there really is a brush set for everyone! My set, pictured above, is the Rose Quartz nine piece set and I love the finish they give my make-up thanks to their soft bristles and also their long handles, which allow me to softly blend eyeshadow BH Cosmetics is certified cruelty-free by internationally recognised organisation, the Leaping Bunny and state they "do not test any products or ingredients on animals, nor do we ask others to test on our behalf."
What are your favourite cruelty-free brush brands?
Love, Emily
